Beatrice Owarewaa (Nana Yaa) reveals the motivation behind over 40 developmental projects she’s making in Mampong
A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Beatrice Owarewaa, popularly known as Nana Yaa, has revealed the emotional experience that inspired her to undertake more than 40 developmental projects in Mampong.
Speaking on Kessben TV with host KOD, Nana Yaa recounted that after returning from the United States, she visited a community in Mampong and was deeply moved by what she saw.
According to her, residents were fetching drinking water from a stream where animals also drank. She said the situation touched her heart and strengthened her resolve to take action to improve living conditions in the area.
“That moment changed everything for me,” she indicated, explaining that access to clean water is a basic human necessity. She added that the experience motivated her to invest in boreholes and other water projects, as well as school infrastructure and sanitation initiatives.
Nana Yaa stated that her goal was to restore dignity and improve public health, particularly for women and children who are often most affected by poor access to clean water.
Her revelation has since drawn praise from some viewers, who described her efforts as impactful grassroots development aimed at addressing critical community needs in Mampong.
