NDC likes joking too much, If a sector is doing well, they credit their CEO, but if there are challenges like Cocobod is having, they blame past Gov’T – Dr Keskine Owusu Opoku

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Keskine Owusu Opoku, has criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over what he describes as inconsistent political messaging.
Speaking on Kessben Maakye with Wofa Kofi Appiah, Dr. Opoku said the NDC “likes joking too much” when discussing national issues.
According to him, the opposition party is quick to credit chief executive officers when sectors of the economy are performing well but shifts blame to previous governments whenever challenges arise.
He cited the current difficulties facing Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) as an example. Dr. Opoku argued that while the NDC praises leadership when there are successes, it attributes setbacks to past administrations rather than acknowledging broader structural or global factors.
The exchange highlights the sharp partisan divisions as both major parties continue to contest responsibility for Ghana’s economic performance.
