NDC can’t manage a cocoa sector, then if COVID had happened under NDC, all Ghanaians would have been dead by now – Hon. Andrews Bediako,

Hon. Andrews Bediako, the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Jaman South, has taken a swipe at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), questioning the party’s ability to effectively manage Ghana’s cocoa sector.
Speaking during an interview on Kessben FM with host Wofa Kofi Appiah, Hon. Bediako argued that the NDC lacks the managerial competence required to steer the cocoa industry, particularly at a time when the sector is facing financial and operational challenges.
According to him, the difficulties confronting the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) require strong leadership and decisive policies, which he believes the opposition party would struggle to provide. He further made a controversial comparison, stating that if the COVID-19 pandemic had occurred under an NDC administration, “all Ghanaians would have been dead by now.”
The cocoa sector remains central to Ghana’s economy, employing hundreds of thousands of farmers and contributing significantly to export earnings.
