Meet Francisca Amoah the KNUST graduate who is a car sprayer in Kumasi defying odds in the automobile industry in Ghana

Francisca Amoah, popularly known as Lady “Sprayer,” is redefining expectations in the automobile repair industry as a female car sprayer in Kumasi, combining academic achievement with technical skill.
A graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Francisca, speaking on Kessben FM’s Drive show with host Fante Quoo, shared her journey into the male-dominated car spraying profession.
She revealed that many men prefer bringing their cars to her workshop because of her honesty and transparent pricing, qualities that have earned her trust and respect among customers.
According to Lady Sprayer, her interest and skills in car spraying were inherited from her father, who is also a professional sprayer. Growing up, she learned the trade from him and later perfected her craft through hands-on experience, proving that technical vocations can successfully complement formal education.
She acknowledged the challenges she faces as a woman in the field but said her commitment to quality work and integrity continues to set her apart.
Francisca Amoah hopes her story will inspire young people, especially women and graduates, to embrace skilled trades and pursue their passions without fear of societal stereotypes.
