Ghana Police Volleyball Teams Gear Up for CAVB Zone 3 Championship
The Ghana Police Male and Female Volleyball Teams have officially registered for the Confederation Africaine de Volleyball (CAVB) Zone 3 Club Championship, scheduled to take place in Accra from March 1-8, 2026. The registration forms were handed over by ASP Bernice Timbilla, Director of Sports, Ghana Police Service, to the Ghana Volleyball Federation on January 19, 2026.
This marks a significant milestone for the Ghana Police Volleyball Teams, who will represent Ghana and the Police Service at the regional championship. The tournament will feature top volleyball clubs from Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, and Togo, making it a highly competitive event.
ASP Timbilla underscored the importance of supporting Police sports initiatives, stating, “Supporting Police sports initiatives is a direct investment in effective policing and national security.” She called on corporate institutions, partners, and stakeholders to lend their support to the teams, emphasizing the benefits of sports in enhancing policing and national development.
The Ghana Police Volleyball Teams are gearing up for a successful participation in the championship, with a strong focus on showcasing their skills and representing the nation on the regional stage. The teams have been undergoing rigorous training and preparation, and they are confident of making a mark in the tournament.
