Paperclip Investments Ltd Takes Legal Action Against Sparkhouse Over MegaCash Lucky Box Replication

Paperclip Investments Ltd, a technology and software development company specializing in scalable digital solutions, has initiated legal proceedings against Sparkhouse Ltd for alleged breach of a licensing agreement and intellectual property rights infringement.

The dispute centers on Sparkhouse’s alleged unauthorized development of a derivative of Paperclip’s MegaCash Lucky Box Game, resulting in the creation of Scratch4win and Seven Cups. Paperclip claims Sparkhouse engaged in reverse engineering, replication, and unauthorized development using confidential information and trade secrets.

According to Paperclip, Sparkhouse agreed not to launch the infringing products in Ghana or countries where Paperclip operates but went ahead to develop Scratch4win. Paperclip alleges Sparkhouse also unilaterally renewed a lottery license in its own name, deviating from an agreed shared model.

“Sparkhouse’s actions represent a direct violation of our licensing agreement, the spirit of our partnership, and principles of fair competition,” said a Paperclip representative. Paperclip is seeking an injunction and damages through the High Court of Ghana.

The company has reiterated its commitment to upholding integrity, transparency, and lawful innovation and will pursue all legal remedies to protect its intellectual property and business interests.
