Kessben Media Honors Outstanding Staff for Excellence in Journalism and Service

Kessben Media has honored its outstanding staff for their accuracy, depth, and responsible storytelling. Through their commitment to truth, balance, and ethical reporting, these members have consistently brought important stories to light, informed the public, and strengthened trust in journalism. Their dedication has elevated the standards of news coverage and inspired confidence across communities.
The maiden edition of the awards ceremony was held at the Kessben 92.9 FM Accra branch on Wednesday, 24th December 2025, reaffirming the company’s commitment to motivating workers and recognizing excellence.
Speaking at the event, the General Manager of Kessben Media Accra, Mr. Kojo Preko Dankwa, said the awards were designed to celebrate hardworking staff across all departments.
“This award is to motivate the people who usually work behind the scenes and may feel unnoticed. The company appreciates their efforts, and this recognition signifies the value we place on hard work. We want everyone to know that when you give your best wholeheartedly, it will be acknowledged,”
he said.
Mr. Dankwa added that all departments were consulted to ensure the selection process was based on fair, concrete, and verifiable criteria. He noted that the diligence and dedication of the awardees earned them this recognition and announced that the awards ceremony will now be held every six months to further motivate staff in Accra and beyond.
He also encouraged young and upcoming journalists to uphold integrity, research, and hard work in their profession, stressing that these values build a strong foundation for success.

Richmond Obeng – Social Media Manager of the Year

Mr. Dankwa also condemned attacks on journalists, warning that such incidents hinder their ability to perform their duties. He called on the public to collaborate with the media to ensure a safe environment for journalists to serve the nation.
He further expressed appreciation to clients and partners for their support throughout the year and encouraged businesses to continue partnering with Kessben Media in 2026.
Some of the award recipients expressed gratitude to management for the recognition and urged their colleagues to remain dedicated to their work and uphold professionalism for a better future in the industry.
