Mama Love Foundation Donates Essential Learning Materials to Bogoso Islamic School

Mama Love Foundation, an Obuasi-based non-profit organisation, has donated more than 1,000 exercise books to Bogoso Islamic School in the Prestea-Huni Valley Municipal District of the Western Region.
The donation forms part of the foundation’s commitment to improving educational outcomes and enhancing access to basic learning materials for pupils across the country.
Speaking at the presentation, Dr. Love Konadu, President of Mama Love Foundation, described education as the engine of every thriving economy, underscoring the foundation’s resolve to continually invest in the sector. She called on well-meaning Ghanaians and organisations to support education, stressing that the responsibility of investing in education should not be left to government alone.
A representative of the school community, Muniru Ziblim Dulana, highlighted the challenges faced by pupils in accessing basic learning materials. He explained that the school is relatively young and still lacks the requisite resources to support effective teaching and learning. He commended Mama Love Foundation for the timely intervention, noting that it further strengthens unity and cooperation between Christians and Muslims.
Describing the donation as “once in a million,” the Headmaster of Bogoso Islamic School, Abdul Ganiyu, expressed profound gratitude to the foundation, saying it was the first time the school had received support from a non-governmental organisation. He appealed for further assistance to help complete an abandoned school structure, which includes a computer laboratory. According to him, inadequate infrastructure has adversely affected Basic Six pupils, some of whom currently study under a makeshift structure that does not promote effective teaching and learning.
The PTA Chairman, Ibrahim Annan, also echoed the call for support, emphasising that completing the classroom block would provide a conducive learning environment necessary for quality education to thrive.
Dignitaries present at the event included Ahmed Farouk, Bogoso Imam, Seidu Ibrahim Sankara – Sariki Samare, Ibrahim Annan (Nhyiraba), SMC Chairman; Seidu Amadu Maiga, Bogoso Zongo Chief; Ali Usman, Deputy Imam; Lamatu Fuseini (Magagia); Ziblim Kasuyili Muniru (Hon. Dabo); Nicholas Amadu, Chief Mossi; Ahmed Mumuni, Chief Sisaala; and Abdul Ganiyu, Head Teacher of the school.
