Odo Broni was never a sidechick, that lady deserves so much respect – Senior Broadcasters in Kumasi, Sammy Adu Boakye & Franko Naro affirm

Prominent Kumasi broadcasters Sammy Adu Boakye and Dr. Frank Owusu Ansah (Franko Naro) have publicly defended Odo Broni, a woman long associated with highlife legend Daddy Lumba, insisting that she has been unfairly labeled over the years.
Speaking on Kessben FM with DJ KA, the broadcasters emphasized that Odo Broni was never a sidechick, contrary to widespread speculation. According to them, she played a far more significant and respectable role in the musician’s life than many people realize.
Both broadcasters recounted that Odo Broni was present during some of Daddy Lumba’s most challenging periods, offering support described as genuine, loyal, and unwavering. They stressed that her contributions extended far beyond companionship, suggesting that she was instrumental in the artist’s emotional and personal stability.
Sammy Adu Boakye noted that the public has often misunderstood the nature of their relationship, adding that many who repeat rumors “do not know the real story.” He urged Ghanaians to treat her with dignity and respect, especially at a time when narratives surrounding the late musician’s personal life continue to surface.
Franko Naro echoed the sentiment, saying that Odo Broni “deserves so much respect” for the role she played in Lumba’s life. He cautioned against judging her based on hearsay or social media assumptions, noting that the woman stood solidly with Lumba when he needed support the most.
