Prophet Reindolph Oduro Gyebi aka the Eagle Prophet, the General Overseer of God’s Crown Chapel has delivered a stern warning regarding the planned burial of Daddy Lumba. He claimed that unresolved disputes surrounding Lumba’s death and his widowhood have placed a dangerous spiritual burden on the family. According to him, if the burial proceeds under these conditions:
“4 People will die and follow Lumba after his burial, One of Lumba’s children should be careful, another person will collapse at the funeral” He said on Kessben FM with Fante Quoo.
He further cautioned attendees to be careful, saying the atmosphere around the funeral could attract fatal spiritual consequences especially if Lumba’s children or close relatives are involved.
The warning comes amid a protracted legal and traditional dispute among Lumba’s family. After his death on July 26, 2025, the question of who should conduct widowhood rites — and under what circumstances — became contested.
Initially, the final funeral rites were slated for December 6, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
However, due to the disputes and a court case, the burial date was changed to December 13, 2025.
This conflict over funeral arrangements and widowhood rites has drawn attention from various religious leaders, some warning against rushing the burial until the issues are resolved.
Whether one believes in spiritual warnings or not, the prophecy underscores larger issues around the burial of public figures, especially when that figure leaves behind unresolved family and legal mess.
