Daddy Lumba is the most influential Ghanaian ever after Kwame Nkrumah – Veteran Journalist, Dr. Frank Owusu Ansah (Franko Naro)

Veteran journalist Dr. Frank Owusu Ansah, popularly known as Franko Naro, has asserted that the late Daddy Lumba is the 2nd most influential Ghanaian.

Speaking on Kessben FM with DJ KA, Franko Naro described Daddy Lumba as the most influential Ghanaian after Kwame Nkrumah

According to Franko Naro, Daddy Lumba’s impact on Ghanaian culture, music, and national identity over the past three decades places him in a league of his own.

He argued that beyond entertainment, Lumba’s music has shaped generations, influenced social trends, and maintained relevance across eras, something he believes only few public figures in Ghanaian history have achieved.

He emphasized that while many musicians have enjoyed popularity, Daddy Lumba’s influence goes far deeper, touching emotions, shaping lifestyles, and consistently commanding the attention of both young and old.

For this reason, Franko Naro said, Lumba’s cultural footprint stands next only to the transformational legacy of Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
