Ghanaian actress Abena Swizzy has advised men regarding modern relationships. Speaking on the Kessben Drive Time show with host Fante Quoo, the actress argued that in today’s generation, it is unwise for men to shoulder financial responsibilities for women who contribute nothing meaningful to their lives.
According to her, many men feel pressured to provide financially simply to maintain a relationship, even when the woman offers no emotional support, loyalty, or personal development, only intimacy.
Abena Swizzy stressed that such arrangements leave men drained, unappreciated, and stuck in unbalanced partnerships.
She emphasized that relationships should be mutually beneficial, with both partners contributing in ways that go beyond physical intimacy. “If she offers you nothing but sex,” she advised, “walk away.”
Many people agree with her that financial responsibility should be shared, while others argue that cultural expectations in Ghana often place men in the provider role.
