SHOCKING: There is not even one kilometre of tarred road in Amansie West (Manso) – DCE of Amansie West,  Prince Manu Moris

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie West has made a startling revelation about the state of road infrastructure within the district.

Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM with host Wofa Kofi Appiah, the DCE stated plainly that Amansie West does not have even one kilometre of tarred road.

According to him, residents of Amasie West, especially those in the Manso areas, have endured decades of hardship due to the deplorable nature of their roads. He explained that although the district contributes significantly to Ghana’s natural resources, including mining and agriculture, its infrastructure has not seen corresponding development.

The DCE emphasized that the absence of tarred roads affects transportation, economic activity, access to healthcare, and overall quality of life. He noted that farmers struggle to transport produce to market centers, while commercial drivers face daily losses due to frequent vehicle breakdowns caused by poor roads.

He called on the stakeholders and development partners to prioritize the district in future road projects, stressing that the people of Amansie West deserve basic infrastructure like any other part of the country.

The revelation has sparked public reaction, with many questioning how such a resource-rich district can remain so deprived.
