A member of Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s campaign team, Kennedy Mintah, has called on delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to rally behind Acheampong, arguing that his business acumen, particularly in hospitality, is exactly what Ghana needs.
Speaking on Kessben FM with KOD, Mintah said that Acheampong’s ownership of one of Africa’s largest hotels underscores his capacity to lead. The hotel in question appears to be the Rock City Hotel in Kwahu-Nkwatia, Eastern Region, a massive resort with plans for over 2,200 rooms, and already widely described as one of the continent’s biggest.
According to Mintah, choosing Acheampong would not just be a political win, but an economic one, a way for the NPP to tap into proven entrepreneurship and leverage it for national development. He framed Acheampong’s business success as a concrete example of private-sector-driven impact, reinforcing his argument that Acheampong is “the best bet for the NPP and Ghana.”
Acheampong himself, for his part, has built a diverse business portfolio that spans hospitality, media, technology, and real estate.
Mintah’s appeal, therefore, hinges on both Acheampong’s political credentials and his track record as a job creator.
