80 Years of Pan-African Struggle: A Call to Action

In October 1945, the 5th Pan-African Congress in Manchester, England, marked a turning point in Africa’s struggle for independence. Now, 80 years later, Accra, Ghana, will host a conference to forge a collective vision for self-rule and dignity.

The Pan-African Progressive Front (PPF) has organized the event, themed “From Historical Memory to Economic and Political Justice,” scheduled for November 18-19, 2025, at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum.

The conference will bring together over 200 delegates from 57 countries, including heads of state and high-level dignitaries. Ghana’s President, H.E John Mahama, will officially launch the event.

The PPF aims to renew the Pan-African spirit, strengthen solidarity, and produce a strategic framework for Africa’s sovereignty and prosperity. The Accra Declaration, a unifying statement of purpose, will be adopted, affirming Africa’s commitment to collective progress.

The conference will focus on Africa’s present realities, reparations, economic independence, and continental unity. It’s an opportunity to connect the past struggles to present aspirations and shape Africa’s destiny in a just and multipolar world.

The PPF invites all Pan-African organizations, movements, and individuals to participate in this historic event. Together, we can ensure the legacy of Manchester 1945 is reborn, renewed, and transformed into living action for Africa’s renaissance.
