Okaikwei North MP Supports Needy Students with Financial Packages
Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North Constituency, Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni as part of her annual educational intervention, the MP has presented cash worth over GH¢ 200,000 to support 200 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the constituency.
According to her, the cash donation aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and encouraging students to pursue higher education.
The presentation ceremony, held at the MP’s office in Achimota , Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni said her generosity and unwavering commitment to the welfare and development of his constituents.
She explained that although school authorities initially presented a list of 225 candidates, further assessments showed that many more students were in dire need of assistance.
She personally identified students from deprived backgrounds, whose parents could not afford the required materials for their children’s secondary education.
She underscored her belief that education remains the most powerful tool for community transformation, noting that his motivation is to ensure no child is left behind due to financial challenges.
She encouraged the beneficiaries to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to their studies as they transition to the next level of their academic journey.
