NPP Flagbearer Race: I support Bawumia, but I won’t speak ill of other candidates – Hon. Sam Pyn, Former Kumasi Mayor
Former Kumasi Mayor, Hon. Sam Pyne, has declared his support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer race, but emphasized his commitment to maintaining respect for all other aspirants.
Speaking on Kessben FM with Wofa Kofi Appiah, Hon. Pyne stated that while he firmly believes Dr. Bawumia is the best candidate to lead the NPP into the 2024 general elections, he will not engage in personal attacks or negative commentary against others vying for the position.
“I support Dr. Bawumia because I believe in his vision and competence, but that doesn’t mean I have to insult or disrespect the other candidates,” he said.
He called on fellow party members and supporters to adopt the same approach, stressing that unity and mutual respect are crucial for the NPP’s success after the internal contest.
“We can disagree on who we support, but we must remain united as one party. What matters most is the NPP winning power again,” Hon. Pyne added.
