There are more to do in the fight against galamsey – Awudu Salami Yoda

The Executive Director for the Environment Report, Awudu Salami Yoda, has said that they have to do more in the fight against Galamsey.

Speaking on Kessben with Kojo Preko Dankwah, he shared the necessity of our water bodies and forest reserves, stressing on a greater amount is being destroyed by illegal miners.”

Awudu emphasized the need for the government to declare water bodies and forest reserves as security zones and also remove politics in the fight against galamsey”

He pleaded with the Government to fulfill their promise and ensure that parliament repeals Li2462 and introduces a new law to restrict access to our forest.
