“ORAL IS A SCAM” — NPP Communicator Blasts Anti-Corruption Initiative

The constitutionality of Ghana’s Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) initiative is facing sharp criticism, with NPP Communications Officer Awal Mohammed branding it a scam, unconstitutional, and nothing more than a propaganda tool.
Speaking on Kessben TV’s The Digest with Zeiga on Tuesday, September 30, Mohammed argued that the initiative is unlikely to withstand scrutiny at the Supreme Court.
He noted that similar suits filed by Ken Kuranchie have already slowed down judicial processes, cautioning that the Supreme Court is becoming overloaded. According to him, cases of this nature waste both time and resources.
Awal Mohammed further stressed that Ghana already has anti-corruption bodies in place and that government has pledged to strengthen them. He therefore described ORAL as a political ploy designed to tarnish the image of NPP leaders.
He concluded by urging stakeholders to focus on empowering existing institutions rather than politicizing anti-corruption efforts.
