One of my topmost priorities is for President Mahama to fix our roads – Ahafo Ano South West DCE, Hon Abubakar Sedik

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West, Alhaji Abubakar Sedik, has emphasized that one of his main priorities is to ensure that President John Dramani Mahama takes urgent steps to fix the deplorable roads in the district.

Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM with KOD, the DCE highlighted how the poor road network is affecting economic activities, access to healthcare, education, and overall quality of life in the district. He noted that while local authorities can initiate minor interventions, the scale of the road challenges requires full support from the central government.

Alhaji Sedik’s remarks reflect growing frustration among residents over years of infrastructural neglect. His call for presidential action underscores the need for collaboration between district assemblies and national leadership to address development inequalities, especially in rural areas.

He assured the public that his office will continue to engage the relevant ministries and agencies to ensure that road rehabilitation and construction projects in the district are prioritized under the current.
