AES U17 Challenge: Kalibi Arrives in Ouagadougou For Volleyball Festival

The Under 17 side of fast rising Volleyball Club, Kalibi VC have arrived in the capital of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou for the Alliance for Sahel States Volleyball Challenge.
The team made up of 12 females and 13 males will represent Ghana in the championship which initially had Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso all participating but recent security concerns forced the two other nations to cancel their participation.
6 teams from Burkina Faso comprising of both boys and girls will engage in an all-play-all competition with the Ghanaian team expecting to emerge victories.
The Ghanaian team will begin their campaign on Thursday when the girls come face-to-face with Planet Sports’ who have already opened their account by beating Efors Yaadga who they beat by three straight sets.
The AES U17 Challenge is part of efforts by the Sahel States to unearth talent and also foster cooperation among member states through sports.
