Roman Fada, the manager of the late Ghanaian music legend Daddy Lumba, has confirmed that the date for his final funeral rites will be announced by Manhyia Palace. He made this known during an interview on Kessben FM’s “Krenkren to Krankran” show with DJ KA on Tuesday.

According to Roman Fada, the family has already informed the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, of Daddy Lumba’s passing, as tradition demands.

Therefore, the final funeral arrangements, especially the date and location, must be guided by the customs and approval of the Manhyia Palace, the seat of the Ashanti Kingdom.

Although the one-week observance was scheduled for August 30, 2025, and held in Accra, the main funeral is expected to take place in Kumasi, where Daddy Lumba hails from.

This cultural protocol underscores the late highlife legend’s royal lineage and the significance of tradition in honoring his legacy.
