MP for Agona East Celebrates with Widows, Promises Loans to Support Entrepreneurship
Hon. Queenstar Maame Pokua Sawyerr, Member of Parliament for Agona East, has taken a significant step in supporting the welfare of widows in her constituency. Recognizing the challenges many widows face, Sawyerr organized a celebration for 1,500 widows, providing them with bags of rice, oil, and money.
Beyond this gesture, Sawyerr promised to grant them loans to start their own businesses, empowering them to improve their livelihoods. She urged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds wisely and assured them that the money would be disbursed within two weeks.
The widows expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Sawyerr, describing her as a beacon of hope. They prayed for her well-being and success, acknowledging her dedication to supporting vulnerable members of their community.
