Ablekuma NPA celebrates 10th Anniversary

The Ablekuma branch of the National Pensioners’ Association (NPA) has climaxed its 10th anniversary with a Thanksgiving Service.

The service, held at the Ablekuma-Abease Presbyterian Church in Accra on Sunday, brought together a number of retired men and women in a spirit of gratitude, reflection and celebration.

A series of activities preceded the grand finale, including a health talk, health walk, fun games and various social engagements aimed at promoting wellness and bonding among the pensioners.

The celebration also served as a platform to honour and award members for their contributions and participation in the Association’s journey over the past decade.

Awards were presented in three categories: members who have been part of the Association since its formation in 2014 and are still alive, members aged 80 years and above and winners of the fun games.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Branch Association, Mr. Emmanuel Patterson, expressed his appreciation to all members for their dedication and resilience over the years.

“We have come this far because of our collective commitment to unity, perseverance and above all, the Grace of God”.

“The journey hasn’t been without challenges, but today, we celebrate ten years of purpose, togetherness and hope,” he said.

Members of the Association also expressed their joy and gratitude for being part of the celebration.

Many shared fond memories of the journey so far and praised the leadership for keeping the branch vibrant and active.

The event was held under the theme: A Decade of Unity and Perseverance.
