If you are cautioned to stop a bad habit, it is not only about you, but to protect the young ones coming – Rev Vincent Kankam (Sofo Kankam)

Reverend Vincent Kankam has spoken about personal conduct and its far-reaching impact on society, particularly on the younger generation.

Rev. Kankam speaking on Food For Thought on Monday stressed that “When you are cautioned to stop a bad habit, it is not only about you, but to protect the young ones coming”

According to Rev. Kankam, personal habits whether good or bad, serve as blueprints for those observing from the sidelines, especially children and youth who are still shaping their values.

Rev. Kankam elaborated that society is built on layers of influence, and what may seem like a “private” behavior can inadvertently set a precedent.

He said the young ones are always watching. They may not say it, but they are learning from us. If we ignore corrections and continue with harmful practices, we silently give them permission to do the same,” he said.

He urged adults, especially public figures and community leaders, to be conscious of the shadows they cast.
