Most people are now suffering in their lives because of how ungrateful they have been to the people who helped them – Rev Vincent Kankam (Sofo Kankam)

Reverend Vincent Kankam has attributed much of the suffering people face today to a lack of gratitude.

Speaking with conviction and spiritual insight on Friday, the revered man of God said that many individuals unknowingly close doors in their lives by being ungrateful to those who once helped them.

“People are going through unnecessary pain and hardship not because they are cursed or unlucky,” Rev. Kankam stated, “but because they dishonored those who helped them rise. Ingratitude is one of the quickest ways to block your own blessings.”

According to Rev. Kankam, being ungrateful is not just bad manners; it is a spiritual issue that affects one’s destiny.

He explained that people who fail to show appreciation or turn their backs on their helpers eventually experience delays, disappointments, and losses in life.

According to him, you can’t bite the hand that once fed you and expect God to bless your own hands. He said God watches how you treat people who supported you when you had nothing. If you repay them with arrogance or silence, it will speak against you in life.

Rev. Kankam backed his message with real-life examples and biblical references, highlighting characters who either rose through gratitude or fell because of pride and forgetfulness.

He added that many people today struggle in business, relationships, or careers not because they are not skilled or hardworking, but because they failed to honor those who helped them reach where they are.
