Most mothers pollute the minds of their children, that’s why Father’s Day is not celebrated enough – Caller on Kessben FM

A caller on Kessben FM’s popular ‘Food for Thought’ program has boldly claimed that the lack of enthusiasm for Father’s Day celebrations is partly due to some mothers misrepresenting the role of fathers in the lives of their children.
According to the caller, many fathers are unfairly denied recognition because some mothers actively “pollute the minds” of their children, creating the impression that mothers alone are responsible for all the sacrifices made in raising them.
“Most of the things fathers do for their children are made to look like it’s the mothers who are doing them,” the caller said. “This is why, when Father’s Day comes around, many children don’t feel the need to celebrate their dads, because they’ve been conditioned not to see their value.”
He argued that in many households where parents are separated, mothers often become the primary narrators of the family story, and in doing so, some allegedly paint a negative picture of the father, regardless of the efforts he might still be making behind the scenes.
“There are fathers who send money, who pay school fees, who show up but because they are not living in the same house, the children grow up thinking the mother does everything,” the caller emphasized.
Following the caller’s remarks, several listeners called in to either support the claim. Some shared personal stories about the low celebration of Father’s Day.
