The problem is not only about the Coach, some of the players drink too much alcohol and womanize a lot – Angry Kotoko fans

Following the sacking of head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum with just six games remaining in the Ghana Premier League season, some angry Asante Kotoko fans have shifted the blame from the technical bench to the players themselves, accusing them of indiscipline, womanizing, and excessive alcohol consumption.
In a wave of passionate reactions captured on Kessben Sports, some supporters of the Porcupine Warriors expressed frustration over what they describe as a lack of professionalism among some members of the squad“
“You can sack all the coaches in the world, but as long as some of these players continue to chase women and drink every night, the team will still fail,” one furious fan told a local sports reporter.
Another added: “The coach is not the one who goes to the pitch to play. How do you expect results when some of the players are not serious? They go to clubs, drink too much, and live like they’re on vacation.”
The explosive claims come just days after the club confirmed a mutual parting of ways with Coach Prosper Ogum, who will reportedly receive a $16,000 compensation package, including three months’ salary and a severance bonus. His departure has raised more questions than answers about the true root of Kotoko’s ongoing struggles.
While coaching decisions have been a focus for management and media, the growing chorus of fans insists the rot goes deeper, pointing fingers at the attitude and discipline of the playing squad.
Many supporters are now calling on the club’s management to conduct an internal audit and implement stricter disciplinary measures to restore the culture and pride Kotoko is known for.
Meanwhile, Karim Zito is expected to take over as interim coach, with the task of steadying the team and salvaging what remains of the season.
