CCC Celebrates 40 Years In Existence…Marks Milestone With Plays, Music And Sermons
Story By Michael Ofosu-Afriyie, Kumasi

Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), a Charismatic English Assembly on Sunday climaxed its 40th anniversary celebrations with loads of inspirational music, arts and sermons.
Established exactly on Easter Sunday, the 7th of April, 1985 with about hundred persons, the church can now boast of having thousands of people as congregants.
In a hilarious play to narrate how the English speaking Assembly was formed, the children from the Church’s Childrens Ministry enacted the trajectory of CCC where its General Overseer wore an afro hair, a three-piece suit and traversed the country for evangelism with his famous “Tomos” Motorbike .
In several melodious tunes, the Heralds, the CCC Mass Choir and Charisma, which are music groups in CCC emphasised how from a humble beginning the church had grown beyond its boundaries in Kumasi and could now be traced to 600 branches world wide currently.
General Overseer:
Reverend Ransford Obeng, General Overseer of CCC thanked the Chiefs and people of Asokore Mampong and Oforikrom, two communities he noted had given the church a sound footing.
Acknowledging the presence of the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene and the MP for Oforikrom, Hon Michael Kwasi Aidoo who had visited to share fellowship, Rev Obeng thanked the duo and many others for showing leadership and kindness.
Sounding sad at a point, Rev Obeng asked for a minute of silence for the souls of the departed including her late wife, Mrs Joyce Obeng who had stood with him to build a thriving ministry.
“CCC has existed for 40 years because the people in this city and this church decided to support the vision God gave me when I attended the conference in Singapore where I met my mentor the late Reverend Rick Seaward”, Rev Obeng with a teary eye stated.
Sermon:
Preaching the sermon at both the first and second services, Reverend Jeremy Seaward, Head Pastor of Victory Family Center-Singapore urged the church to aspire for nothing but to work to replicate the exploits of the Corinthian Church.
He noted that the early Corinth Church emulated Christ in every sense of the word and in character.
Rev Seaward stressed that it was therefore not surprising that those believers in that church were first called Christians.
“The Corinth church stood out because they had a clear vision, went through a process in developing faith as well as had leaders which engaged in the great commission”, the VFC Leader summed up.
Cake:
As a sign of celebrating the milestone in its fullness, a 40th anniversary cake 🎂 designed for the occasion was cut by the General Overseer with the church leaders and the visiting Regional Minister and Oforikrom MP supporting.
Later in the day, Reverend Joshua Obeng, Resident Pastor at CCC Main took the visiting dignitaries to a tour of the CCC church facility.
The personalities visited the Children’s Block, the Joy Chapel which plays host to persons from the Northern Region who fellowship with their native language as well as the Youth Center which houses the Ministry towards persons at the Senior High School as well as University levels.
Attire:
Clad in their special 40th anniversary cloth, the congregation danced their hearts out during service and after service as the visiting but famous Daughters of Glorious Jesus dished out scintillating music 🎶 .
