NPP’s 2024 Electoral Loss: Former National Communication Director Presents Book to Review Committee

In a bid to diagnose the factors that led to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) poor electoral fortunes in the 2024 general elections, Yaw Adomako Baafi, former National Communication Director of the party, has written a comprehensive book cataloging the causes of the party’s loss.

The book, titled “Timeless Insights: A Strategic Guide to Making a Comeback,” was presented to the NPP Elections Review Committee, chaired by RT Hon. Professor Aaron Mike Ocquaye, former Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, at the party’s Asylum Down Headquarters in Accra.

According to Yaw Adomako Baafi, the book contains 56 articles reflecting on the factors that contributed to the party’s loss. He identified key areas, including loyalty, leadership, and legacy, as essential components that were lacking in the party’s approach.

Baafi also emphasized the importance of strategic communication, political organization, and the need for the party to reconnect with its grassroots base. He stressed that the party’s failure to address these issues led to its poor performance in the 2024 elections.

The former National Communication Director expressed his gratitude to the review committee for the opportunity to present his book, which he hopes will serve as a guide for the party’s future strategies.

The NPP Elections Review Committee, chaired by Professor Ocquaye, is tasked with investigating the causes of the party’s poor performance in the 2024 elections and providing recommendations for future improvement.

With the presentation of Baafi’s book, the committee is expected to delve deeper into the issues that affected the party’s performance and develop strategies to address them, with the ultimate goal of regaining power in future elections.
