GAMLS Launches Maiden Medical Laboratory Science Professionalism Month

In a move to reinforce professional ethics and standards in the medical laboratory sector, the Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists (GAMLS) has launched the first-ever Medical Laboratory Science Professionalism Month.
This flagship initiative, led by GAMLS President Dr. Eric Kofi Aidoo, aims to raise awareness and mobilize professionals across the country to uphold the values, ethics, and standards that define excellence in the workplace and the medical laboratory science profession.
The month-long celebration will feature a series of events, workshops, and activities scheduled across Ghana, designed to inspire professionals to embrace integrity, accountability, respect, and continuous learning.
According to Dr. Gloria Amegatcher, GAMLS PRO, “Medical Laboratory Professionalism Month is a call to action. As professionals unite to champion the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and continuous learning, they play a pivotal role in strengthening Ghana’s healthcare system.”
By maintaining these standards, Ghana’s medical laboratory scientists will not only improve service delivery but also contribute significantly to national economic growth and global recognition.
This maiden edition sets a strong precedent for years to come, shaping the future of medical laboratory science in Ghana and beyond.
