Lawyer Lawrence Kwesi Botchway, also known as Kwesi Botchway Jnr, has built an impressive academic portfolio, holding two bachelor’s degrees, two master’s degrees, and a wealth of professional experience that solidifies his status as a rising legal luminary.
Botchway’s journey to academic distinction began at Light of the World School Complex and St. Martin’s Senior High School, where he laid a strong foundation for his future. He later pursued higher education at multiple prestigious institutions, earning a Diploma in Public Relations Management from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
His thirst for knowledge saw him obtaining two undergraduate degrees: a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) with Second Class Upper Honors from KAAF University College under the auspices of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations Management from UPSA.

Building on this strong foundation, Botchway further distinguished himself with two master’s degrees. He earned a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from GIMPA, equipping him with critical governance and policy-making expertise.
On Friday 14, 2025, his academic journey has reached another milestone. He has obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Energy Law, Regulation, and Policy from the University of Ghana, Legon.
Additionally, he holds a Postgraduate Mastery Certificate in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Executive Center for Postgraduate Studies, broadening his expertise in global affairs.
His legal training was crowned with the Professional Barrister-at-Law (BL) Certificate from the Ghana School of Law (Makola), which qualified him as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana.

Beyond his academic achievements, Botchway has built an impressive career across different sectors, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to public service.
His professional journey began in 2016 when he worked as an Administrative Assistant at School, where he played a key role in curriculum evaluation, staff training, and institutional management.
In 2019, he interned at Kulendi @ Law (Maalo Chambers), gaining firsthand experience in legal practice, including court proceedings, legal research, and drafting pleadings.
His commitment to public service was evident during his National Service at the Ministry of Aviation (July 2020 – August 2021), where he assisted the Deputy Minister in administrative duties, research, and policy coordination.
Botchway’s legal acumen was further sharpened during his internship at the Legal Department of the Parliament of Ghana (July 2023 – September 2023), where he worked on legal research, drafting parliamentary instruments, and reviewing constitutional documents.
He is currently at Pupil at Ghartey & Ghartey, a renowned law firm in Ghana.
