John Mahama Is Grateful To Asanteman—Dr Samuel Sarpong Tells Otumfuo

The 1st Vice-Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Samuel Sarpong has expressed the appreciation of the NDC flag-bearer, John Mahama to the Asantehene.
He also praised the Asantehene for the counsel and guidance he offered to the President-Elect, John Mahama before the December 7 elections.
Speaking through the Asantehene’s linguist after the historic electoral victory of the NDC, Dr Sarpong on behalf of the President-Elect said the guidance and blessings Otumfuo offered the NDC has led to the party’s famous electoral victory on Saturday.
Dr Sarpong noted that the NDC was grateful to have the Asantehene pour his deep thinking pieces of advice to them and would ensure they visit him often for same.
“Otumfuo i stand here on behalf of the President-Elect to thank you immensely for your guidance and advice to the NDC party and i know it was the reason we have recorded the biggest political victory in Ghana 🇬🇭 and we promise to always come around for such to govern Ghana well”, the NDC Vice Chairperson stated.

Dr Sarpong, a former Mayor of Kumasi and also a former Ashanti Regional Minister noted that the NDC flag-bearer was going to abide by the blueprint documentation by the Asantehene regarding the region’s development.
He disclosed that the President-Elect has kept a copy of the development document and promises to use same as guide.
Present with Dr Sarpong at the Akwasidae ceremony were Andy Okrah, a former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister and Kwasi Ofori Agyemang Boadi, a former MCE for Obuasi as well as Appiah Stadium, an ardent John Mahama admirer.
There were other NDC functionaries at the event which marks the end of all the Adae’s in the Ashanti calendar.

On behalf of the Otumfuo, the linguist thanked the NDC Vice Chairperson for paying homage to the Asantehene.
He also commmeded Dr Sarpong for presenting gifts to the King on the celebration of the last Akwasidae.
The King wished the NDC party and the leaders well.
He also asked that they govern with care and compassion so that the citizenry could be beneficiaries of good programs.
