Manchester Chapter of NPP-UK Commissions Potable Water in Ahafo-Ano South East Constituency
The Manchester Chapter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP-UK) has taken a giant step towards improving the lives of residents in the *Ahafo-Ano South East Constituency* by commissioning a portable water system worth GHS 40,000 for the *Mentukwa community*. This initiative addresses a longstanding water crisis that had plagued the community for years, demonstrating the chapter’s commitment to tackling critical challenges in rural Ghana.
The project was spearheaded by the prolific Chapter Organizer, Dr. Amoako Baah, whose dedication and coordination ensured the successful completion of the initiative. Dr. Baah lauded the leadership and commitment of Mr. Frederick Acheampong, the industrious NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Ahafo-Ano South East Constituency, who played a pivotal role in making the project a reality.
The portable water system was officially handed over on Monday, 2nd December 2024, in a colorful ceremony led by Mr. Louis Mensah, the Chapter Chairman. Together with Mr. Acheampong, Mr. Mensah handed the facility over to Chief Mohammed Tahiru, the traditional leader of Mentukwa.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Frederick Acheampong highlighted the critical nature of the water crisis in Mentukwa and reaffirmed his commitment to solving the pressing challenges faced by communities across the constituency. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Manchester Chapter for identifying and addressing this major problem, ensuring access to clean and reliable water for the people of Mentukwa.
Mr. Louis Mensah, the Chapter Chairman, assured the community that the NPP would continue to prioritise impactful projects that address critical needs. He urged the people to vote massively for the party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and their hardworking parliamentary candidate, Mr. Acheampong, in the upcoming elections on Saturday, 7th December 2024. He emphasised that an NPP victory would guarantee the continuation of life-changing projects like this one.
Chief Mohammed Tahiru, speaking on behalf of the Mentukwa community, expressed profound gratitude for the intervention. He described the portable water project as a solution to one of the community’s most pressing challenges and commended Mr. Acheampong for honouring his promises. He assured the NPP of the community’s unwavering support, pledging that Mentukwa would vote massively for the party in the elections.
