We Will Use The 24-Hour Economy Policy to Boost Job Creation – Mr. Francis Addo
Mr. Francis Addo, a member of the Ashanti Regional Communication team, has stated that the NDC will use the 24-hour Economy policy to boost job creation in Ghana.
Speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye with Kwabena Owusu Dankwah he noted that the strategies to be implemented to boost job creation will cut across all sectors of the economy to create more jobs for the youth.
The 24-hour economic policy is the most talked-about policy in the round to the 2024 elections. This policy has generated varied interpretations for the NDC, the proponents of the program.
NDC government under John Mahama created more jobs as compared to this current government under His Excellency Nana Addo Akuffo Addo. Mr Addo said,
The 24-hour economy has come to stay. During our visits to churches, the people were excited and appreciated our presence when Honorable Eric Asibe (the parliamentary candidate for Kwadaso constituency) mentioned the 24-hour economy policy.
Mr. Addo highlighted facts from the Global Information Analytics (GIA): “NDC is leading with 53% and Bawumia has 40% per the national telephone poll samplings as of now. This gives a fair idea of the upcoming election.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) does not regard the ratings of the upcoming election by GIA and other rating agencies like Fitch and Bloomberg. They believe these agencies are not being fair to them, although these agencies do in-house sampling. He said,
Mr. Jimmy Boakye Ansah, also a member of the NPP communications team in the Ashanti region, refuted most of the claims raised by Francis Addo.
Mr. Boakye Ansah said that there was even a net freeze in employment under Mahama due to the IMF 2015 conditionality.
This year’s election is very unpredictable. Can this election go to the second round? As we all wait to witness the outcome of this election, let us keep our fingers crossed and anticipate.
