Collins Adomako-Mensah commissions Ultramodern Ahenkro Astro Turf
The Deputy Minister for Energy, and a Member of Parliament for the Afigya Kwabre North constituency, Collins Adomako-Mensah, has commissioned the Ultramodern astro turf pitch in the Afigya Kwabre North constituency in the Ashanti Region.
The Member of Parliament indicated that the rationale behind the construction of the Astro turf pitch is to promote football in the constituency so as to identify talents, grow them and develop them so that they can play football all the way to the National team and as well as international soccer which he believes will be an impetus to the local economy of the Afigya Kwabre North constituency.
He urged the people in the area to continue to live in unity and that, he and the NPP government are committed and determined to bring development to the constituency.
The lawmaker commended the leadership of the gas company, especially CEO Dr. Ben Asante, for helping to provide this modern Astro-turf.
He urged the community especially the youth to take good care of the facility and make proper use of it.
“If anyone had prophesied to me that I will one day be a vessel for development in my beloved Afigya Kwabre North Constituency I would have said stop this fake prophecy. But destiny has its own way of manifesting God’s plans.
It’s been 4years of an incredible journey for me as lead advocate. All I can say is thank God almighty for his continuous blessings.

The Astro turf construction was sponsored by Ghana Gas and built by Wembley Sports Construction Ltd.
He was joined by the Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Running Mate to Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Vice Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr. Kingsley Nyarko, the Member of Parliament for Kwadaso Constituency and other bigwigs of the NPP in the Ashanti region.
