NAPO Reminds Ghanaians of the Unbearable Hardships John Mahama Subjected Them to from 2012-2016

During a powerful address at the “Bantama Big Walk” on Saturday, October 5, 2024, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) reminded Ghanaians of the difficult times they endured under John Mahama’s administration from 2012 to 2016. He highlighted the cancellation of the Nursing Trainee Allowance, which significantly impacted aspiring healthcare professionals, and Mahama’s infamous admission to the youth that he wasn’t a magician capable of creating jobs, leaving many young Ghanaians disillusioned by the lack of opportunities.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh also recalled the cancellation of free maternal care initiated by former President Kufuor, putting vulnerable families at risk and showcasing Mahama’s lack of commitment to healthcare. He pointed to the “Dumsor” crisis, which Mahama plunged Ghana into, resulting in economic hardships for households and businesses. Additionally, NAPO criticized Mahama’s disrespect for traditional and religious leaders, essential figures in Ghanaian society.

Further stressing Mahama’s shortcomings, NAPO warned that he has pledged to cancel the Free SHS program, threatening access to quality education for millions of Ghanaian children. He also noted that Mahama abandoned numerous unfinished projects initiated by President Kufuor, leaving critical developments stalled and citizens without the promised benefits.

In closing, Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized that Ghanaians cannot entrust the country’s future to a leader with a track record of corruption and failed promises. He confidently stated that the best candidate to lead Ghana into a brighter future is Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 Presidential Candidate of the NPP, urging voters to prioritize accountability and integrity in their electoral choices.
