The introduction of electronic buses to Ghana by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, is expected to revolutionize the transportation industry and drastically lower the cost of commuting.

The new electronic buses are presently in route to Ghana, and according to Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), they have the potential to reduce transportation costs by as much as 40%.

The deployment of these electric buses is in line with the government’s overarching goal of encouraging environmentally friendly transportation options while tackling the problems of pollution and traffic jams.

The CEO of NEIP emphasized that the electronic buses will improve public transportation’s efficiency while also making urban areas cleaner and greener.

The computerized buses are anticipated to save money while also giving passengers a better overall commute experience.

These vehicles will offer a more eco-friendly and comfortable option for daily commuters than typical diesel buses, thanks to their modern amenities and lower noise levels.

“Dr Bawumia’s electric buses will be in by this month’s ending. No fuel cost, low maintenance. Public transport fares to be reduced by about 40%.” he said.
