Under-construction storey building collapses on carpenter, loses life on the spot
In the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, a storey building under construction collapsed at Krokrobitey-Agro Farm, leaving one individual in his 40s dead and another in severe condition. The incident sent shockwaves across the town.
According to Kessben FM’s Mireku Nyanpong, the Divisional Police Commander was quick to respond to the unfortunate event, contacting the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) for aid right away.
A group of firefighters from the neighboring station raced to the site to assist the police and other emergency personnel once they heard the distress call.
At the scene, the deceased—who was a carpenter working at the site died on the spot.
