“Ejura Chief Endorses Bawumia: ‘He’s a Man of His Words'”

Nana Barima Osei Hwedie II, the Chief of Ejura has eulogized the Vice President and NPP Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his trustworthy leadership and commitment to the development of Ejura and the country at large.

The Chief noted that Dr. Bawumia is a man of his words and, therefore, can be trusted to deliver on his promises. He also commended Dr. Bawumia’s running mate, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, for his frankness and outstanding achievements particularly in the education and energy sectors.

Nana Barima II was speaking at a durbar, attended by traditional rulers, imams, opinion leaders, representatives of identifiable groups, market women, students and indeed, the people of Ejura, held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, in Ejura, within the Ejura Sekyidumase Constituency, to welcome Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and his entourage.

“I know Dr. Bawumia personally and have worked with him. I can say on authority that he is a man that can be trusted to do what he says he will do. We can all attest to the fact that when he said he would tackle the Ejura Water crisis, he delivered. When he also promised to build a hospital for us, he delivered. I can go on and on. When we vote for him to be President, Ejura and Ghana will see massive transformation. Dr. Bawumia is also receptive. So, I can go to his office anytime to demand our share of the national cake”, he said.

From Ejura, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, aka Napo, took his tour to Anyinasu and Sekyedumase where he held community engagements with traditional authorities and relevant authorities. He canvassed support for his boss, Dr. Bawumia and the party’s parliamentary candidate, Gifty Mboma, who is said to be on course to reclaim the Ejura-Sekyidumase seat for the governing NPP.

The NPP running mate then took his constituency-focused campaign tour to the Afigya Sekyere East and Kwabre East constituencies, where he held community engagements with the chiefs, religious leaders and other stakeholders, specifically in Agona, Wiamoase, Abira and Kenyase.

While touring the unbeatable records of NPP, Napo rallied the people to support the vision of Dr. Bawumia and for that matter, the bold solutions for Ghana’s future. He also appealed to the people to vote overwhelmingly for the party’s parliamentary candidates, Hon. Mavis Nkansah Boadu for Afigya Sekyere East and Mr. Onyiwa Acheampong for Kwabre East.
