The Black Challenge visits Twellium Industrial Company to present citation

The Ghana National Amputee Football team has presented a citation to the management and staff of Twellium Industrial Company Limited to show gratitude for their immense support to the team during a courtesy call for emerging as winners at the just ended African Amputee Football Cup of Nations (AAFCON) which kicked off from the 17th to 28th May, 2024 in Cairo Egypt.
Presenting the citation, the Director of Welfare, Mr. Emmanuel Akpabli thanked the company for their unwavering support in both cash and in kind, adding that the team have branded Ghana and the world at large in the recent tournament.
” The Sports ministry, particularly government have also contributed to the team in diverse ways and commended the ministry for facilitating their official travels,” he said and appealed to government to humbly fast track their winning packages due to the players and officials of the team as some of the players will be travelling back to their various clubs in abroad.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to other bodies for their commitments and support to the team in their preparations towards the tournament and assured the nation that the team will bring more laurels to lift the image of the country.
He therefore praised the players for discovering their potential in the fields of football as amputees and was quick to call on corporate bodies, benevolent societies among others to come to the aid of the team.
The Director of Welfare, Emmanuel Akpabli used today occasion to dispel rumours about players taking advantage of the tournament upon arrival and run away from camp to other countries and explained that the Ghana National Amputee Football team is not part of a similar scandal that took place recently in Norway.
Receiving the trophy, the Marketing Director of Twellium Industrial Company, Mr. Ali Ajamu thanked the team for making Ghana proud and fulfilling their promise of winning the tournament, adding that the company will continue to support the team in all sports and football activities.
