Our biggest mistake this season was to choose Baba Yara Stadium as home venue in the first leg – Kobby Jones

Hearts of Oak might have made some mistakes this season but the NCC PRO of the club, Kobby Jones has said the the biggest mistake the club made this season was to choose to play at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the first leg of the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League.

Speaking on Kessben FM’s Midfield Action Sports Show after the Hearts of Oak’s 2-0 defeat against Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kobby stressed that their woes this season and having a series of bad ran of results ignited with a wrong decision to play some of their first leg games at the Baba Yara Stadium when the NSA closed down the Accra Sports Stadium between November 2023 to December to prepare the stadium for events.

Kobbu Jones reiterated that it was a wrong move by the Club’s hierarchy to choose to play their home games at Baba Yara Stadium stressing it is part of the major factors which marred their season.

With 3 games to finish the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League, Accra Hearts of Oak has amassed only 38 points from a possible 93 points leaving them at the 14th position of the league log.
