150th Sagrenti War Anniversary: Thursday declared as “Yawoada Tumtum, Asanteman to wear black and gather at Manhyia
As part of the 150th anniversary of the Sagrenti War activities, Asanteman will gather at the Manhyia palace on Thursday 8th February 2024 to commemorate the lost souls of Asanteman during the Sagrenti War.
In line with the above, Asanteman will black and gather at the Manhyia palace to remember and pay respect to the lost souls during the 1874 war.
Historian, Nana Osei Bonsu Kantanka speaking on Kessben FM’s Breaking News with Nyakoh Aboronomah said Chiefs across Ghana are expected to come and pay homage at Manhyia Palace on the said date to mark the 150th anniversary of the Sagrenti War.
Yesterday at the Great Hall in Kumasi KNUST, a symposium, and book launch were held where 700 paged book Titled “The History of Asante was launched”
