I’m a big Asante Kotoko fan, I offer them good & talented players but they don’t value them – Yaw Dabo
Ghanaian actor and bankroller of Yaw Dabo Soccer Academy, Yaw Dabo has revealed that he’s a staunch Asante Kotoko supporter.
The comic actor speaking on Kessben FM’s Midfield Action with Joe Laka divulged that he has been offering the Giant of Ghana football, Asante Kotoko some of his great talents, however none of the moves were successful due to lack of faith.
Dabo stressed that he has in past times offered Kotoko some of his best players but the Kumasi-based football seems not to value the players he offers them.
According to him, Kotoko does not value his players because they reckon they are too young and novice.
“I’m a big Kotoko fan. I have offered Kotoko some good and talented players in past times but they don’t value them because they are coming from the Academy.
“I have the talented players. Chairman Solo once saw me and asked why I don’t give some of my players to Kotoko and I told him that I do really offer the players to them just like I did with Afriyie Banieh to Hearts of Oak”
I first sent Afriyie Banieh to Kotoko, he did a pre-season with them under Johnson Smith’s time but eventually, they did not sign him” He said.
