The function commenced with opening remarks delivered by Director General of SIGA; Ambassador Edward Boateng, in which he declared a time of reflection and motivation for all Chief Executive Officers with companies under the supervision of SIGA. He emphasized the need for State Owned Entities (SOE) and Other Specified Entities (OSE) to spread their markets beyond the shores of Ghana and establish secure economic relations with nations within the African continent and beyond.

He also encouraged SOEs to engage more successful entities within their respective sectors, and learn all that is needed to boost efficiency and heighten profit margins for their entities. “Entities must get to interact with each other; get to learn from more successful entities because there are entities that are doing very well and there are others that need to review initiatives and so on; if SOEs are paying enough tax, training enough people and doing what they are expected to, economic challenges can be curbed quickly.”
