BREAKING: ‘Go ahead and hold any election if you are men’ – King Faisal warns GFA
Kumasi-based King Faisal has warned the Ghana Football Association of the detrimental consequences if they go ahead to hold the 2023 GFA elections.
Hearing of King Faisal’s application to injunct to GFA elections has been postponed to 12th October 2023.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association election is scheduled for 5th October 2023.
According to the GFA, all are in place for the elections to be conducted irrespective of any court application to injunct the elections
Nana Amankwah, a director of the Kumasi based club speaking on Kessben FM’s Midfield Action sounded a strong caution to GFA, stressing that if they are men they should go ahead and organize any elections on 5th October.
King Faisal contends that it is against the law to elect a new GFA President before choosing the Exco members. The club further claims that any decision taken by the current Exco members regarding the election of the GFA President prior to the choice of Exco representatives constitutes a betrayal of confidence, trust, and loyalty.
