Your number on the ballot paper does not determine the outcome of an election – Dennis Miracles Aboagye
The New Patriotic Party has conducted balloting for the flagbearer hopefuls in preparation for the delegate’s conference scheduled for November 4, 2023.
Following the balloting held on September 13, the vice president secured the second slot on the ballot paper While Kennedy Agyapong is top of the list.
In an interview on Kessben FM’s Maakye with Mr Speaker, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the spokesperson for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, stressed that the position on the ballot paper does not determine the outcome of an election.
Mr. Aboagye said their primary focus and attention is not on the placement of their candidate on the ballot paper but rather on winning the trust and support of the people.
According to him, if the position of a candidate on the ballot paper did determine the outcome of the election, his candidate would have emerged in 10th place, just as in the super delegates election.
He mentioned that as election day approaches, their campaign team will educate the people on how to vote and also inform them of the position of their preferred candidate on the ballot paper.
He added that the position assigned to a candidate on a ballot paper will not have any impact on the election results.
