Ghanaians urged to partake in voter registration exercise
The deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Mustapha Gande is urging all qualified Ghanaians to partake in the Limited Voters Registration exercise.
The exercise organized by the Electoral Commission has commenced today in all districts and capitals across the country.
Speaking of Kessben 93.3, Maakye’s show, Gande stated that the quest to seek accountability and transparency from the EC in this exercise has been denied by the Supreme Court.
According to him, the Supreme Court was expected to injunt the EC to avoid the exercise from coming off.
“A Court sitting was scheduled on 17th September but we can not appear because the EC would have ended the exercise by then,” he said.
“The Court has denied Ghanaians the opportunity to be heard” he added.
He is however encouraging all Ghanaians to register for qualification to vote in the coming 2024 elections.
