The Kotoko players need another month for pre-season or we will suffer – Stephen Manu
As the 2023–24 Ghana Premier League season approaches, former Asante Kotoko striker Stephen Manu has expressed reservations about the club’s preparation.
Kotoko will play the newly promoted Heart of Lions in Kumasi on Sunday as the local top-flight competition gets underway this weekend.
After Kotoko’s friendly match against Nsoatereman FC at the Baba Yara Stadium, the former player speaking on Kessben TV highlighted concerns about the player’s readiness for the start of the season.
“Asante Kotoko players lack match fitness, and they need another month for preseason,” Manu raised doubts about the team’s readiness and physical condition in his comment.
The players are not prepared for the upcoming season, so if the league could be postponed to allow the players to prepare thoroughly, it would be beneficial.” He said.
