Details of Kwesi Appiah’s meeting with Manhyia’s Chief of Staff
Following the dissolution of the Dr. Kwame Kyei-led BoD of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, former player of the club Kwesi Appiah met with the Chief of Staff of Manhyia to jaw-jaw about the way of forward of the club, Kessben Sports has learned.
The former Black Stars coach on Tuesday 4th July 2023 met with the Representatives of Manhyia Palace in a meeting chaired by the Chief of Staff of Manhyia Palace, Kofi Badu.
The representatives of Manhyia sought advice from the former Kotoko player amid the current state of the club where there is no active working management or BoD.
Some of the representatives apparently longed for the former Coach to take charge of the club’s technical team and recruit players for the upcoming season.
According to deep-throat sources from Manhyia, the former Black Stars coach is ready to accept the offer provided he will be given a long-term contract.
Bearing any new development, Appiah is expected to take charge of the technical team and recruit players for the Kotoko as the 2023-24 season approaches.
Kwasi Appiah comes on board with a wealth of experience as he has had two stints with the Black Stars.
In December 2014 the former Black Stars and Kotoko legend was appointed as the head coach of top Sudanese club, Al Khartoum.
